Lilo Goes To Jail

lindsay-lohan-refuses-plea-bargain-1.jpg

District Attorney Danette Meyers offered Lindsay Lohan a plea deal that included 6 months in jail, which is better than the 1 to 3 years Lindsay could be sentenced to for a felony grand theft conviction.
Lindsay won’t accept the plea deal because she believes she didn’t do anything wrong, which is one reason the judge will want a psychological evaluation of Lindsay before sentencing.
At the March 10 hearing Lindsay can again refuse the plea deal, and demand a trial, but at the same hearing the judge will also be deciding if Lindsay violated her current probation on her double DUI convictions. If the judge believes 51% that Lindsay violated her probation he will order Lindsay to be incarcerated in jail until she goes on trial.

Meyers knows she has Lindsay in a checkmate position, but Lindsay still believes she can get away with anything, because females are usually not required to take responsibility for anything. At this point however, Lindsay has been breaking the law so often the courts can no longer allow her to go free.
The question now is whether Meyers will still be offering only 6 months of jail time, or if Lindsay’s attorney will need to plead guilty or no contest while hoping that doing so will provide Lindsay with some mercy in sentencing from the court.
At this point, the court appears to realize they’ve got themselves a career criminal on their hands, so mercy seems less likely. The only thing that could save Lindsay is her celebrity status, and that would happen in jail because of overcrowding, but is unlikely at the prison level.
Dina Lohan can keep blaming the media, or Michael Lohan, for Lindsay’s legal problems, but like Lindsay, Dina will eventually realize she is part of the problem. The best thing Dina could do for Lindsay would be to hire a real manager, and just be Lindsay’s mother offering support, but not delusional excuses.
