CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-DELIVERY

Patrick M. Green is being held in the Ada County Jail on charges of delivery of methamphetamine and marijuana and unlawful possession of an explosive device after Boise police searched his Central Bench home Tuesday night for an unrelated case.
Boise police had been investigating reports of possible drug sales at Green’s home in the 4800 block of Blaser Circle - located next to Cassia Park in the Orchard/Roosevelt streets neighborhood - prior to Tuesday but were there around 11 p.m. to help Ada County Sheriff’s deputies look for another woman, Candace Turner, who was wanted for a felony probation violation.
Boise police officials say the 39-year-old Green allowed officers in his house to look for Turner, which is when police found about one gram of methamphetamine, 35 grams of marijuana, packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia in different rooms inside.
Police also found a plastic bottle, which appeared to be filled with gunpowder with a fuse attached into the cap. The Boise police bomb squad eventually removed the homemade bomb from the home and disposed of it at a different location, according to reports.
Police officials say they found no evidence the gun powder filled bottle was part of any threat or specific plan but did not offer a theory as to why it was in the home.
Officers charged Green with the more serious charge of drug delivery instead of possession based on finding packaging materials and other undisclosed evidence that drugs were being sold at the home, police officials said Wednesday.
Green will make his initial court appearance later Wednesday.
